DVD/CD Access Problem
Booting into DOS from a Win98 disk, the options are CD support or no support. I choose support. There has never been a problem. The Oak Drivers and MSCDEX work fine. I just changed out my CD-RW for a Mad Dog (NEC2500) DVD/CD-RW. The Oak/MSCDEX drivers load. DOS assigns a drive letter to the DVD.

The data was really glitched, so I tried swapping the DVD/CD with the CD drive and Windows would not recognize the CD drive until I disconnected the shuttle. Not to mention all the data corruption issues when moving large files between 1 and 2 to 3 and 4. Essentially, stick with 1, 2, 5, 6 and you'll be fine.

I'm on an Imac G4, which otherwise runs well. Or did. Summarily I can neither back-up nor use the install disc.
